We Have No Bananas Today

Preparing for marriage can be stressful, as many of you know. But amidst the stress, some funny conversations and debates have popped up between Glen and me. And I wanted to share one particularly frivolous one.

Bananas: Green or Yellow?

Now, I am in the green-tinted banana camp, and Glen is firmly planted in the yellow-with-some-brown-spots camp. This bodes well for our marriage, because when we go for groceries, we can buy delicious and beautiful kind-of-green bananas which I will enjoy for a couple of days, and once they go bad, Glen will happily consume them. What a symbiotic relationship we've got going. This will definitely not create a rift between us.

But what do you all think? Do you enjoy the crisp, fresh, delicious taste of a banana that still carries that green-ish hue? Or are you a mushy, over-sweet, kind-of-gross banana enthusiast? (yes, megan admits that she's attempting to sway your thinking; but it's her blog ... glen can influence you on his own blog, if he ever wants to create one.)

Yellow all the way! Minus the spots.

Green! once there are brown spots it's banana bread or trash!

Definitely YELLOW. The green ones taste like grass. My significant other is with you on the green means go, but David is thinking they are all gross unless you take them ripe off the tree. Apparently his mission was the influence there.

First of all, I think the part "once they go bad" the 'bad' should be in quotation marks.
And "crisp" is for lettuce and carrots. NOT bananas.

I'm in your camp - once they get yellow, they're only good for smoothies.

I definitely fall under the yellow with brown spots category. They taste better and the texture is 10x better.
